Wire EDM

EDM Technologies' Wire EDM department has 9 state-of-the art Wire EDM machines manufactured by Charmilles Technologies. The following is just a few of our Wire EDM capabilities:

Using DP Technology Esprit 2008 Cad/Cam software we can accept dxf, iges, dwg, Parasolid, Solidworks, Solid Edge, ProEngineer, and Catia files from our customers for easy generation of programs.

Sinker EDM

EDM Technologies has Sinker EDM (Standard EDM, Plunge EDM, Ram EDM, Die Sinker) machining cababilities with automatic tool changing and a c-axis for orbital, vectorial, and helical machining. Using Sinker EDM machining we can acheive a 10 Micro-Inch Finish and hold tolerances down to .0005".

Small Hole EDM

EDM Technologies has 3 Small Hole EDM machines that give us the ability to EDM Drill small holes in hardened materials that cannot be conventionally machined. We can EDM Drill or "hole pop" diameters ranging from .155mm to 3.0mm. Materials that can be EDM Drilled include Aluminum, Steel, Brass, Copper, and Carbide.

Precision Machining

EDM Technologies has a complete in-house Precision Machining department to support your precision tooling needs. Wether it is merely support machining to our EDM Services, or complete build to print manufacturing, EDM Technologies has the capabilities to satisfy all of your precision tooling requirements. We maintain an inventory of tool steel and other materials and have in-house heat-treatment capabilities.
